Greg Wallace is a technology marketing leader with over 20 years experience at large and small companies across a number of domains. He is a passionate advocate for open source technology and the people that create it. Greg served as Senior Director of Marketing at the Linux Foundation from 2015 to 2018, where he helped launch the Hyperledger project, and supported the Node.js Foundation, the JS Foundation, and the Open Mainframe project. During his previous marketing career at Nortel, SugarCRM, Inlet Technologies (now Cisco), and freelancing with too many start-ups to count, Greg has performed many different types of marketing, including product, demand generation, channel, and content. Greg earned joint MBA and Masters of International Affairs degrees from Columbia University in 1999. Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with family, traveling to his home away from home in Barcelona, and the beach. He volunteers with his church youth program as a high school adult leader, and as a writer for the FreeBSD Foundation.
